Who Should Certify?

The Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM) certification, awarded by the British Council for Certification and Examination Board (BCCEB), recognizes professionals who ensure construction projects comply with stringent quality standards throughout their lifecycle. A Certified Construction Quality Manager oversees contract development, strategic quality planning, resource management, design processes, documentation, and project closeout. They apply quality control principles, team building, project management best practices, risk management, environmental and social governance, and safety management to improve construction quality and achieve project objectives. Additionally, Certified Construction Quality Managers use statistical methods and quality tools to analyze and enhance construction processes, ensuring final deliverables meet stakeholder expectations as well as industry and quality standards.

Body of Knowledge

The topics in this new Body of Knowledge (BOK) include detailed descriptions (subtext) that guide the Exam Development Committee in writing test questions. This subtext also helps candidates prepare by identifying specific content within each topic that may be tested.

The subtext is not intended to limit the subject matter or be all-inclusive of what might be covered in the exam; rather, it serves to clarify how the topics relate to a manager’s role. The descriptor in parentheses at the end of each entry indicates the maximum cognitive level at which the topic will be tested. A complete description of cognitive levels is provided at the end of the document.

Computer-Based Testing Dates

CCMQ Certification examinations are delivered by BCCEB’s testing partner, Prometric.
