The Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) is a professional certification awarded by the British Council for Certification and Examination Board (BCCEB). This program is designed to equip individuals with advanced knowledge and practical skills in fire prevention, safety systems, emergency preparedness, and risk management.

Candidates who have completed a degree from a college, university or technical school will have part of the 10-year experience requirement waived, as follows (only one of these waivers may be claimed):

If you are taking the CFPS exam, you will receive your result immediately after submitting the exam. Within 3–5 business days, you will receive an official email from BCCEB confirming your result. BCCEB will also send you a separate email with instructions on how to claim your digital certificate and badge through the Accredible platform. If you do not pass your CFPS exam, you will receive a performance summary via email within 3–5 business days of your exam attempt. You may retake the exam at a significantly reduced retake rate for up to 2 years from your initial attempt.
